Block 22B
About the Project
Following the issuance of a Royal Decree granting Al Hadeetha Mining LLC (AHML) exploration rights for Block 22B, the company initiated preparations to define strategic work programs, allocate resources, and establish a budget framework in alignment with the Government of Oman’s exploration commitments.
Block 22B spans 1,448 km² and consolidates multiple Exploration, Prospecting, and Mining Licenses into a single, highly prospective concession. Its geological significance is highlighted by extensive ancient copper workings and slag deposits concentrated in the southwest and northeast, pointing to a rich history of mineral extraction and strong potential for further discoveries.
Through AHML, Alara Resources Limited (ASX: AUQ) is advancing exploration across the block, targeting copper, gold, chromite, and platinum group elements (PGEs).

- The exploration program has been designed as a phased, data-driven approach:
- Recruitment of skilled geologists, consultants, and technical advisors
- Integration of historical geological data and prior exploration records
- Remote sensing and GIS-based analysis to identify structural controls and anomalies
- High-resolution geophysical surveys, geological mapping, and geochemical sampling
- Prioritisation of drill targets and execution of drilling campaigns to confirm and delineate mineral resources.
By combining advanced exploration technologies with local geological expertise, AHML ensures efficiency, accuracy, and environmental responsibility at every stage. The program also reflects Alara’s commitment to In-Country Value (ICV) by fostering capacity building, knowledge transfer, and sustainable development within Oman’s mining sector.
